Adeline Mulholland, age 84, of Hanover, Illinois, passed into eternity Friday, November 16, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hanover with Father Noel Jacob officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Hanover. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover. Memorials may be given in Adelines’s memory for the Northwest Hospice Association.
Adeline’s greatest joy was raising her family and keeping up with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all of them, including her husband Bill of Hanover, three sons, Ken (Linda) Mulholland of Hanover, Larry (Maggie) Mulholland of Eastland, Texas, J. (Betty) Mulholland of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and a daughter, Barb (John) Schonhoff of Galena, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Marcie, Troy, Michael, Chad, Nathan, Beau, Cyle, Alicia, Mandy and Megan; and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Archie Krause.
Adeline was born March 28, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Haney) Krause. She grew up in the Chicago area meeting her sweetheart, William K. “Bill” Mulholland. After Bill returned from WWII, they were married on February 4, 1949 in Chicago. Adeline and Bill have celebrated sixty-three years of marriage.
Adeline was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Hanover, St. Anne’s Society, and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening, Euchre and playing board games with her grandchildren. She loved the Hanover community and the time she spent with friends and family.
