It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adalynn Jepsen, a beautiful young girl who was taken from us far too soon at the age of 13. Adalynn was a bright and vibrant presence, with a smile that could light up a room. She had bright blue eyes that seemed to sparkle with life, and was loved by all who knew her.
Adalynn was a student at Easton Valley Junior/High School in Preston, Iowa, where she was in the eighth grade. She was a good math student and had a love for learning. She was also very close to her teachers and friends, who all enjoyed having her in their classes.
One of Adalynn's dreams was to become a traveling nurse, a career that would allow her to help people all around the world. She was a compassionate and caring person, and it was clear that she was meant to make a difference in the world. Adalynn was also a cat lover, and her feline friend "Pepper" was one of the two things that made her happiest. The other was spending time with her boyfriend Chandler, who brought joy and love into her life.
Adalynn is survived by her mother and step-father, Jacqueline (Ryan) Sullivan of Preston; her father, Thomas Jepsen of South Carolina; a sister Whitney Seesser of Bettendorf, Iowa; grandparents, Thomas and Jaqueline Randall, Thomas and Martha Drury, Randy and Helen Jepsen, Steve and Sherri Sullivan; and several aunts and uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by two siblings at birth, baby Olivia in 2020 and baby Eldon in 2008.
Adalynn will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She will always be remembered as a beautiful young girl with a bright future ahead of her.
A visitation will be held 3 – 6 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Law Jones Funeral Home, Preston, with a service at 6 pm.. The family invites you to wear hoodies and jeans, as Addy would have worn. A memorial fund has been established.
