Robert Lippert, age 36, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois died Monday, September 2, 2019. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date.
Robert was born February 25, 1983 in Pekin, Illinois. During his younger, more active years, he would cut firewood and sell it by the truckload. Robert enjoyed the wonders of nature—sitting in the woods, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the different seasons.
Robert had a knack for taking an engine apart, cleaning it, and putting it back together. Jim Mills of East Savanna Welding employed him as a helper when he was a teenager. Robert’s step-grandfather, Don Marken employed him off and on with Marken & Watters Construction Co.
Robert was passionate about his music. When not listening to his favorite artists, he was playing his guitar and keyboards. Even composing CD recordings with a multi layered program on his computer. Despite the fact that life dealt Robert a disabling condition, his kind, gentle nature would always shine through. He always had a hug for hello and goodbye. He never missed an opportunity to say, “I love you, Mom.”
Robert will be dearly missed by his mother, Joyce (Kevin) Marken of Mt. Carroll; his father, Richard Lippert of Pekin, Illinois; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Robert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Glenda Lippert and Earl and Mary Chadwick; and his step-grandfather, Don Marken.
