Pamela Klein

Pamela Klein, age 53, of Savanna, Illinois passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Pam’s memory for the Savanna Ambulance Association.
Pam was born January 1, 1963 in Highland Park, Illinois, the daughter of Douglas and Judy (Kallenberg) McCrindle. She is a 1980 graduate of Glenbrook South High School, Glenview, Illinois. On May 12, 1984, Pam married Phillip Klein in Northbrook, Illinois. They were married 24 years. They moved to Thomson, Illinois in 1987.
Pam loved laughing with friends and helping anyone that needed a hand. She was a hard worker, enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and the Mississippi River. “Pam was one heck of a cook!” She worked seventeen years as a waitress at the Watermelon Café in Thomson, and ten years in Housekeeping at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa.
Pam will be dearly missed by her three children, Joanne (Brett) Parsons of Savanna, Travis Klein of Savanna and Tyler Klein of Thomson; her mother, Judy Woodruff of Savanna; good friend, Phillip Klein of Savanna; a brother, Jeffrey McCrindle of Round Lake, Illinois; and a stepbrother, Earl (Kim) Woodruff of Park City, Illinois. Pam is preceded in death by her father, Douglas McCrindle; stepfather, Richard Woodruff; and stepbrother, Edward Woodruff.
