Mitchell Timm

Mitchell Timm, age 62, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois decided to go on an unexpected journey looking for his next great adventure on March 13, 2019. A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. Military Rites will be accorded following the gathering at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held following the gathering on Saturday at Charlie’s in Mt. Carroll.

Mitchell was born on March 25, 1956 in Savanna, Illinois to Rosemary and Jerome Timm. He graduated from Mt. Carroll High School with the Class of 1974. After high school, Mitch went into the Air Force from 1974-1980. While in the Air Force, Mitch met and married the love of his life, Rhonda Tinnin in 1978 in Spokane, Washington.

Mitch worked in carpentry and construction for over 30 years. He loved spending time with his family. He had a passion for helping and giving to others, and loved doing things for friends and family. When he walked down the street, people always knew he had something to say. He enjoyed woodworking, trap shooting, riding motorcycles and camping. He was the greatest grandpa and told friends and family the best stories—some more than once. Mitchell was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Carroll County Haiti Mission Project.

Mitch will be dearly missed by his wife of 40 years, Rhonda; children, William (Ashley) Tinnin-Timm, and Athena Tinnin-Timm and Danielle Tinnin-Timm; one granddaughter, Colleen Eaton; three brothers, Mathew (Deana) Timm, William (Teri) Timm, and Anthony (Elizabeth) Timm; sisters-in-law, Karen Tinnin, Denna Tinnin; one brother in law, Dustin Tinnin, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Rosemary; a sister, Marta (Trent) Timm; sister-in-law, Tina Tinnin and a nephew, Zachary Timm.
