Glen Pauley

April 24, 1919 — December 2, 2014

Glen Martin Pauley, age 95, of rural Mt. Carroll, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Monroe, Wisconsin. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chadwick. Burial will take place in Lanark Cemetery, Lanark. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Chadwick. Glen was born on April 24, 1919, the son of Earnest and Edna (Schwartz) Pauley in Stephen, Minnesota. He married Ruth Kingery on June 19, 1943 in Freeport, Illinois. Glen was a life long farmer, a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Chadwick, and the Chadwick Boosters Club. Following his retirement, Glen enjoyed playing cards and woodworking, especially making swings, benches, Christmas ornaments and chairs. Throughout his life, Glen gave generously of his time to his family, his church, and the community.
Glen is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ruth Kingery Pauley; three sons, Larry (Donna) Pauley of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Douglas (Darlene)Pauley of rural Winslow, Illinois and Darrell (Jan) Pauley of Pearl City, Illinois; one daughter, Linda (Allan) Haeger of East Troy, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one sister in-law, Wilma Pauley of Mt. Carroll; one brother in-law, Charles W. (Beverly) Kingery of Freeport, Illinois; one sister in-law, Gene (Robert) Hoak; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Elmer and Bill Pauley.
