Judy A. Hoffmann

Judith Ann Hoffmann, age 77 of Savanna, Illinois formerly of Mount Carroll, Illinois, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Kindred Hospital, Sycamore, Illinois. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5th, at the Frank- Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mount Carroll, Illinois. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, prior to the service at the funeral home. Judith was born December 28, 1934, the daughter of Merle and Harold (Townsend) Taylor in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Steinmetz High School, Chicago and graduated with the Class of 1952. Judith later attended Wright Junior College, Chicago, Illinois. Judith married William “Bill” Hoffmann on February 12, 1955. Bill passed away in 2001.Judith worked at Glenbrook North High School for 23 years as a Food Service Director. She enjoyed camping with her husband, cooking, baking, sewing, and mostly spending time with her family.Judith will be dearly missed by one son William “Bill” (Rose) Hoffmann of Island Lake, Illinois; two daughters, Laurie (Jim) Schneider of Channahon, Illinois, Linda (John) Amann of Algonquin, Illinois; one brother: Dennis (Judy) Taylor; and five grandchildren, Erin, Johnny, Hayley, Nicholas and Jacob. Judith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one daughter: Debra (Richard) Wheeler. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PAWS Chicago 1997 N.
