Bonita "Bonnie" Lou Cantu

Bonita "Bonnie" Lou Cantu, age 61, of Mount Carroll, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at home with her family at her side. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Father Moises Apostol of SS. John & Catherine Catholic Church in Mt. Carroll will officiate. Burial will take place in Schapville Zion Presbyterian Cemetery, Schapville, Illinois. Friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in Bonnie’s memory.
Bonnie was born January 8, 1944 in Hanover, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Lois (Stadel) Wills. She graduated from Elizabeth High School, Elizabeth, Illinois Class of 1960. Bonnie married Alfonso Cantu in Elizabeth, Illinois. From this union came three sons.
Bonnie enjoyed being a housewife and mother. The love for her children continued on to her grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life. Bonnie had fun playing board games with the grandchildren. She loved life and all it had to offer.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by her husband, Alfonso; her three sons, Dino (Sandy) Cantu of Muncie, Indiana, Dion (Leanne) Cantu of St. Louis, Missouri and Dana (Mary) Cantu of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren, Derek, Shannan, Dylan, Drake, Deanna, and Dalton; two sisters, Sandra Wilkinson of Mt. Carroll and Dixie L. Gayton of Rockford, Illinois; one brother, Wayne(Fran) Wills of Hanover, Illinois.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wills; her mother, Lois Wills; one sister, Beverly Forrest, and one daughter, Dru Alexis Cantu; one brother in-law, Gordon Wilkinson.
