William B. O Brien

William B. “Bill” O’Brien, age 69, of Galena, Illinois, formerly of LaGrange, Illinois, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center of Dubuque, Iowa. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Elizabeth, Illinois. Celebrant will be Father Christopher Kuhn.
Bill was born July 2, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Bernard I. and Marie B. O’Brien. He attended Mater Del Rosa High School in Hillside, Illinois, graduating Class of 1954. Following service in the Illinois National Guard, Bill attended DePaul University in Chicago for two years. On April 8, 1961, Bill married Janice Fisher in St. Mary’s Church in Elizabeth, Illinois.
Bill was a Licensed Insurance Broker in the Chicago land area. In his spare time Bill enjoyed golfing, creating art on his computer and spending time with his faithful dog “Duke”. Most of all Bill loved and enjoyed his family, especially his granddaughter, Natalie.
Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Janice of Galena; one son, Scott (Diana) O’Brien of Jackson, Wyoming; one daughter, Cathy (Paul) Horn of LaGrange; one granddaughter, Natalie O’Brien; one brother, Robert (Mary Lou) O’Brien of Tampa, Florida;
a dear cousin, Marion Walsh; mother in-law, Genevieve Fisher of Elizabeth, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, Julie O’Brien.
