Wayne Hull, age 60, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, died Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at the Savanna Law – Jones Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011, also at the Savanna Law – Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lower York Cemetery, Thomson, Illinois.
Wayne was born August 10, 1950, in Beardstown, Illinois, the son of Lloyd and Roberta (Lawson) Hull. He graduated from Savanna High School with the Class of 1970. Wayne married Diana Horton on April 15, 1972, in Savanna.
Wayne worked at Eaton Corp. in Savanna and Hanover, Illinois, for many years. He enjoyed fishing on the Mississippi and loved old Ford’s, especially Mustangs. Wayne’s grandchildren were most important to him, spending as much time with them as he could.
Wayne is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Diana Hull of Clinton, Iowa; one daughter, Kelly Stadel of Clinton; one son, Brian (Rebecca) Hull of Clinton; four grandchildren, Christopher Stadel, Mackenzie Stadel, Angel Hull, and Grace Hull; his father, Lloyd Hull of Savanna, Illinois; two sisters, Kathy (Steve) Keller of Cortland, Illinois, and Bernita (Everett) Stewart of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, Dennis (Margo) Hull of Savanna; and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Hull; and one nephew, Jeffery Stewart.
