Thomas “Tom” Watts, age 57, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, Savanna. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.A memorial fund has been established for the family through

Tom was born March 13, 1958, the son of Richard and Joyce (Scatena) Watts. He attended Willowbrook High School, and graduated with the Class of 1976. After high school, Tom married Barbara Harmon. He helped raise Barbara’s three sons (Terry, Doug and Todd.) He later married Pamela Trevarthen on April 11, 1992. Kathy Seiple has been his companion since 2009. Tom owned and operated his own painting business in the Savanna area and was known for being a perfectionist on the job.
Tom was a kind, passionate, thoughtful and straightforward person with a great sense of humor. He was a member of the Savanna Lions Club and the Savanna Moose Lodge. He loved music, concerts and watching sports—especially the Wisconsin Badgers and Chicago Blackhawks.
Tom will be dearly missed by four children, Sarah (Charles) Hastings of Camanche, Iowa, Elizabeth (Timothy) Schlosser, Thomas (Jennifer) Trevarthen and Andrew Watts, all of Savanna; nine grandchildren; his partner, Kathy Seiple of Savanna; his parents, Richard and Joyce Watts of Lombard, Illinois; three sisters, Patricia (Dennis) Rosone of Schaumburg, Illinois, Kathryn (George) Cady of Wheaton, Illinois, and Sandra (Jim) Wolgemuth of Villa Park, Illinois. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia McCrea and Nancy Watts.
