Robert John "Bobby" Sievert, son of the late Robert and Carolyn Sievert, Mount Carroll and brother to the late Joan Sievert McNertney, Modesto, California, passed peacefully at age 70 of natural causes on July 12, 2017.
Bob was born at the Savanna Hospital, September 24, 1946, graduated from MT. C High School, class of "64", served as a sergeant in the US Air Force, received a BS from the University of Southern Maine and work for many years in the Sievert/Ballas family mobile home business in Southern California.
He is survived by his siblings Ron Sievert of Sedona, Arizona, Michelle Sievert of Appleton, Wisconsin, Lucia Maria Sievert of Modesto California and was a beloved uncle to Kelly, Katie, Larry, Trevor and Matt.
In 2008, Bobby moved back to Mt. Carroll to be a caregiver for Robert and Carolyn.
At age 15, Bob bought his first guitar, an electric Rickenbacker, with his gentle voice, he enjoyed entertaining for friends and at family gatherings including Christmas Eve at the Nobles.
To those that knew Bobby, he was a warm friendly person with a memorable smile and voice. His wit was sharp and made people laugh. He had a heart of gold, a genuine soul, and will dearly be missed.
Services will be held at the Sievert family home, 603 S Jackson St., Mt. Carroll, on July 24, 2017 at 2 pm, refreshments will be served.
