Lois E. Bradbury

Lois E. Bradbury, age 91, of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Allure Nursing Home, in Mt. Carroll, IL.
Lois was born July 17, 1929, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edwin and Bertha (Jaeger) Shay. She attended Chicago Public Schools, graduating high school in 1947. On May 12, 1951, Lois married the love of her life Gerald (Jerry) M. Bradbury. They would go on to have two children and celebrate more than 53 years of marriage before Jerry's passing, in 2004.
Lois performed secretarial and sales work, and was a member of the Eastern Star. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, bowling, and riding horses, in her younger years, but truly she loved living life and
spending time with her family. Lois loved dogs and she spent a lot of time volunteering for Dog Town Canine rescue to which she was a foster fail and ended up adopting several dogs. Lois never met a dog she didn't love and it was through the canine connection that brought her and Jerry together.
Lois will be dearly missed by her son, Robert (Diane) Bradbury, of Lake Carroll, IL; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Bertha; husband, Jerry;
brother, Robert Shay; and daughter, Jarill Ristine.
