Linda S. Nolte, 71, of Washington, Illinois, formerly of Savanna, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Inurnment will take place in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Savanna. A memorial gathering will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Linda was born January 12, 1946, in Savanna, Illinois. She was the daughter of Donald W. and the late Berness J. (Barth) Adams. She attended Savanna High School, and graduated with the Class of 1964. On November 7, 1964, Linda married Ronald Nolte in Savanna. They were married for over 20 years, and had three children together.
Linda dearly loved her entire family and cherished time spent with family members. She was deeply devoted to her children and grandchildren and instilled her strong family values in them. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sports activities and rarely missed an event. She adored animals and had many spoiled pets throughout her life. Linda loved to travel with her family and was always ready for an adventure. Linda also loved music, with Elvis being her all-time favorite artist. She was witty and entertaining, and had a great sense of humor. She was kind, loving, caring, giving, supportive, and happy to be involved in the lives of family and friends. While living in Savanna, Linda enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Savanna, Savanna Junior Women’s Club, and Savanna 500 Card Clubs for both Couples and Women.
Linda will be greatly and lovingly missed by her father, Donald Adams of Mesa, AZ; three children, Jacqueline (Wade) Glahn of Camanche, IA, Ron (Kathy) Nolte of Metamora, IL, Jennifer (Paul) Letcher of Washington, IL; nine grandchildren, Ellery and Emily Glahn, Abbi and Allie Nolte, Olivia Nolte, Callan, Avery, Donovan and Eden Letcher; one brother, Donald (Kathie) Adams of Solon Springs, WI; one sister, Bonny Adams of Mesa, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Berness Adams.
