Frank was born October 6, 1947 in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of Jay Adelbert and Johanna Barbara (Krueger) Losh. When Frank was nine, his family moved to Scales Mound, where he went to school and learned the value of hard work, as he worked on several farms. Frank later began a career at Eaton Corp in Hanover, and over thirty years later, retired.
It was in the Eaton factory, between the spool-winders and the valve-makers that Frank met his true love, Esther. Frank and Esther began a great friendship, and before Esther knew it, Frank proposed by asking if she would go to Las Vegas and get married with him. On April 12, 1998 Frank married Esther Castro Morris at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. Frank thought the best part of the wedding was that “Elvis” performed the ceremony, followed by a small concert. He was a big fan.
Frank loved life. He was always content and happy. He is described as a good father and loving husband, that thought of everyone else before himself. He believed in always doing the right thing, and trusting his gut. When he set his mind to it, he got it done. He had a personal faith in God. These are the lessons that his family will carry-on. His son Tommy remembers Dad teaching him to drive in the Pamida parking lot, “holding on for dear life!”
Frank will be dearly missed by his wife, Esther of Savanna; a son, Tommy Losh of Savanna; three step-children, Heather Glover of North Carolina, Jimmy Morris of Savanna and Theresa Morris of Fulton; five grandchildren, Stone, Harley, Aaliyah, Rylan and Kingston; one great grandchild on the way; and a brother, Lawrence (Karen) Losh of Galena. Frank is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marie Fowler and Ruth Losh; and three brothers, Jimmy, Bobby and Eddie.
