Florence E. Isenhart

Florence E. Isenhart, age 91, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Pastor Robert Phelps, will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. –2:00 p.m., one hour prior to service at the Frank-Law-Jones Funeral Home. Memorials may be given in Florence’s name for the Good Samaritan Nursing Home and the American Heart Association. Florence was born April 15, 1915, the daughter of Floyd and Anna (Douglas) Edwards in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. Florence graduated from Mt. Carroll High School. She married Arthur Isenhart June 2, 1940 in Mt. Carroll. He died August 7, 1984 in Savanna. Florence and her husband owned and operated a family business in Mt. Carroll, the “Sugar Bowl” Isenhart Confectionary, for forty plus years. Florence was a member of Mt. Carroll Community Club. She enjoyed reading and playing bridge. She was also involved with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. Most of all Florence enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Florence is survived by two sons, Nicholas (Bonnie) Isenhart of Lake Carroll, Illinois and Kim (Heidi) Isenhart of Orlando, Florida; a daughter, Sharon Isenhart of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren, Kevin (Christina) Isenhart, Kelly (Natasha) Isenhart, Eric Isenhart and Luke Isenhart; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler, Andrew and Alexis. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son Jody; one son in-law Michael Murphy; five brothers, Floyd Jr., Harold, Robert, James and George Edwards; five sisters, Cissy Wilson, Mildred Thompson, Margaret Sartwell,
