Dale Endress, age 76 of Mt. Carroll, Illinois passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Stephenson County Nursing Center in Freeport, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial gathering is scheduled for Sunday, January 8, 2017, 3:00-5:00 p.m.at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Mt. Carroll. Memorials may be directed to FHN Hospice in Dale's name.
Born January 9,1940 in Freeport, Dale was the middle son of Clarence and Blanche (Heidenrich) Endress. He attended Stockton High School. Dale married Shelvy Frederick of Mt. Carroll at The Church of God.
Dale worked at General Electric in Morrison, Illinois for 35 years before retiring in 2001. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and beekeeping. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals and adopted many strays over the years. Dale also cherished spending quality time with his family and friends.
Dale will be dearly missed by his wife, Shelvy of Mt. Carroll; two daughters, Gail Endress of Mt. Carroll and Gina Endress of Memphis, Tennessee; a brother, Wayne (Lynda) Endress of Morrison, a sister-in-law, Gloria Endress of Stockton; five nieces and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eugene; and two sisters, Charlotte Slick and Irene Endress.
