Colleen Hubbard

Colleen Hubbard, age 69, of Savanna, Illinois passed peacefully Wednesday morning, April 11, 2012 at her family's residence in Urbandale, Iowa. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Lanark Cemetery, Lanark, Illinois. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna with a time of sharing at 4:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in Colleen’s memory.
Colleen was born on November 30, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Shiley) Boyd in Mount Carroll, Illinois. She attended Savanna High School. Colleen was first married to Robert Sperling and was later remarried to Roy Hubbard. Colleen worked at several local factories throughout the area. Colleen enjoyed watching movies and listening to music while playing Solitaire. Most of all, Colleen loved spending time with her family and friends.
Colleen will be dearly missed by three children, Robert (Melissa) Hubbard of Abilene, Texas, Carey (Lisa Getz) Hubbard of Urbandale, Iowa and Roy Hubbard; four grandsons; five granddaughters and one brother, Robert Boyd of Cabool, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Robert.
