Bradley "Buck" Harris

Bradley “Buck” Harris, of Mt. Carroll, IL, passed away November 7th, at his home. A celebration of Buck’s life will be held at a later date.

Buck was born June 2, 1975, son of Gary and Jean Harris. He grew up in Fairhaven and attended Milledgeville High School, graduating with the class of 1993. In school Buck played many sports, including baseball, basketball, and football. He may not been able to jump the highest or run the fastest, but Buck made up for it with hard work. Buck liked spending Sundays wastching football. He was a big fan of the Raiders, but would root for the Bears if they were on.

Buck was a big fan of hard rock music. He attended many concerts with his friends and family, including Marcy’s Playground, Anthrax, and Metallica. Buck was also a musician himself. He started a band with his good friend Ryan Ottens, playing guitar and singing. Buck also competed in demo derbies. He’d spend two months fixing a car, just to destroy it in one night.

Buck was known for being a great bags player. He competed all over the Midwest; from Minnesota to Oklahoma. Buck was a member of the bags league in Rock Falls, IL. Most important to Buck were his daughter’s and his family. His girls were his best friends. Buck would do anything for his family.

Bradley is survived by his two daughters, Rebecca Harris of Mt. Carroll, and Joslynn Harris of Mt. Morris, IL; father, Gib (Lois Hunsaker) Harris of Freeport, IL; two brothers, Brian Harris of Chadwick, IL, and Eric Harris of Milledgeville, IL; and two nephews, Kieren Harris of Chadwick, and Kullin Harris of Menomonie Falls, WI.

Bradley is preceded in death by his mother, Jean, and his best friend, Max the cat.
