Jill D. Carlisle Obituary

Jill D. Carlisle, age 69, of Savanna, Illinois, died Sunday, February 19, 2012, at her home in Savanna. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. in Antl Hall at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savanna.

Jill was born January 3, 1943, in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of William Earl and Clarabelle (Bowman) Hess. She graduated from Savanna High School. Jill worked as the secretarial coordinator for the law firm of Gardner, Carton and Douglas in Chicago, Illinois, for many years. She the went to work for Swiss Colony in Savanna as a line leader for thirteen years.

Jill is survived by two sons, Bill (Laurel) Grummitt of Savanna, Illinois, and Jeff Carlisle of Savanna; four grandchildren; one brother, Bob Hess of Davenport, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Thoughts are with the family that Jill loved so much. She will be missed by her family at Swiss Colony we all thought the world of Jill and enjoyed working with her over the years.
